Learn to Knit: The World's Simplest Mittens

Join us January 21 & 28 and learn how to knit the World's Simplest Mittens! This class is perfect for knitters who are comfortable with the basics of knitting and ready to learn new skills!

This is a 2-part class! Students should plan to attend both sessions.

Session 1: January 21, 10AM

Session 2: January 28, 10AM

Please read all info!

Over this 2-part class, you will learn how to:

• Knit a pair of warm, cozy mitten using natural fibers
• Cast on, knit in the round, and cast off using double-pointed needles
• Increase 
• Decrease in 2 ways 
• Pick up stitches

Class fee includes:

• 1 skein of Lamb's Pride worsted weight yarn in color of your choice (based on color availability)
• 1 set of size 5 double-pointed needles*
• 1 set of size 7 double-pointed needles* (if you don't have them already)
• 2 instructional sessions
• Waste yarn for holding stitches
• Plastic yarn needle
• Printed copy of pattern

You will need to bring:

• Stitch markers
• Stitch holder (optional - waste yarn provided)
• Small pair of scissors or snips
• 1 set of size 5 double-pointed needles*
• 1 set of size 7 double-pointed needles*

*When registering, please choose whether you need double-point needles or whether you will be bringing your own!

Notions such as stitch markers, stitch holders, and scissors are available for purchase at the Walther Handmade store!

Pattern: The World's Simplest Mittens by Tin Can Knits

Required Skills: You must know how to cast on, cast off, knit stitch, and purl stitch prior to taking this class

Allergen Statement: Lamb's Pride worsted yarn is 85% wool, 15% mohair. Please make sure you do not have an allergy to any of these fibers before registering for the class! We are not able to make provide a wool-fee alternative for this class.

Attendance: This is a 2-part class that meets on January 17 and January 24 at 6pm each evening. Students should only register if they are able to attend both sessions. Partial refunds will not be given if students only attend 1 session.

Cancellation: Students must give 48 hours cancellation notice to receive a refund. Since class size is limited, this gives other interested knitters the opportunity and time to sign up and gather materials. 

If you do not give 48 hours notice for cancellation, you will not receive a refund, nor will you be able to apply the class fee to future classes or events. In this event, all class fees and materials would be forfeited.

Walther Handmade reserves the right to cancel this class due to low regisration or other, unforseen circumstances. In this case, all fees would be refunded to students.
