What it is:

A classic wool scarf in muted browns and blues. This scarf is warm, durable, and ready for adventure!

Why we like it:

We're not saying this scarf will magically transport you to Scotland or anything...but it will keep you warm while you're there! We used a tried-and-true superwash wool to deliver all the warmth, without any of the itch.

Who else might like it:

This is great for anyone who wants a solid, go-to scarf in natural fibers that will last year after year. The superwash wool can be machine washed, so it's easy to take care of and still provides all the great benefits of natural wool.

Outlander Scarf

  • We wove this scarf in our home studio in East Tennessee using a rigid heddle loom. A rigid heddle loom is a traditional-style, table-top handloom.

After weaving, we hand sew the edges with a hemstitch to prevent raveling.

Finally, all scarves go through a process called wet-finishing. We soak the scarves in a gentle, eco-friendly rinse and let them air dry. This creates a stronger bond between the individual fibers by causing them to bloom and become tightly interlocked.
