About the event

Crochet 101: Crochet for Absolute Beginners is a 2-part class that will cover all the basics of crochet. This class is intended for beginners - if you have never held a crochet hook before, this class is for you!

Over 2 sessions, you will learn the basics of crochet and be introduced to the world of fiber arts.

We'll go over:

  • Yarn and Hooks
  • Useful tools & equipment
  • How to hold and maneuver a crochet hook
  • How to make a slip knot and start a chain
  • Basic stitches: slip stitch, single crochet, and double-crochet (and maybe more!)
  • Understanding basic crochet patterns and instructions

Class fee includes all materials: hook, starter ball of yarn, practice yarn, and instructional book.

Please note this class will teach crochet from a right-handed perspective.

Skill Level: Very Beginner

Dates: 2 Saturdays - March 18 & 25. Students should plan to attend both sessions.

Times: 9:30 AM ~ 11:30 AM each Saturday

Instructor: Jillian Walther

Class Atmosphere: These classes are intentionally very small (3 - 4 participants max), so that you can have a personalized experience and work closely with the instructor and fellow learners.

Cancellation & Refund: Participants will only receive a full refund if they give at least a 48 hour (2 day) cancellation notice. This gives us time to notify other interested students on the "waitlist."

Participants who do not give a 48 hour notice will not receive a full refund and forfeit all class materials. Participants cannot put class fee towards a future class or other product.

Classes are subject to cancellation due to low registration or other unforeseen (ie "Act of God") circumstances. In these instances, registrants will be notified and fully refunded.
