About the event

Our Learn to Crochet: For Absolute Beginners is a 2-part class that will cover all the basics of crochet. This class is intended for absolute beginners - if you have never held a crochet hook before, this class is for you!

Over 2 sessions, you will learn the basics of crochet and be introduced to the world of fiber arts!

We'll learn all about:

  • Yarn and Hooks
  • Useful tools & equipment
  • How to hold and maneuver a crochet hook
  • How to make a slip knot and start a chain
  • Basic stitches: slip stitch, single crochet, and double-crochet (and maybe more!)
  • Understanding basic crochet patterns and instructions

Class fee includes all materials: hook, yarn, and instructions.

Please note this class will teach crochet from a right-handed perspective.

Skill Level: Absolute Beginner

Date & Times: 2 Saturdays - July 6 & 13. Each session will start at 9:30AM and end around 11:30. Please plan to attend both sessions. Make-up sessions will not be available.

Instructor: Jillian Walther

Class Atmosphere: These classes are intentionally very small (3 - 4 participants max), so that you can have a personalized experience and work closely with the instructor and fellow learners. We like to cultivate a positive, casual atmosphere - be ready to learn, ready to talk, and ready to make new friends!

Age Requirement: Classes are intended for students 18+ years.

Cancellation: If you sign up for the class and are not able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by sending an email to Hello@Waltherhandmade.com . This gives us time to notify other interested participants on the "waitlist."

Refund Policy: If you cancel 48 hours or more prior to the start of class, you are eligible to receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the start of class, you are not eligible for a full refund and forfeit all class materials/fees. Class fees cannot be transferred to a different class, event, or product.

Classes are subject to cancellation due to low registration or other unforeseen (ie "Act of God") circumstances. In these instances, registrants will be notified and fully refunded.
