About the event
Learn a new hobby this fall with our Learn to Knit: For Absolute Beginners class! This 2-part class will teach you all the basics of knitting and get you ready for your first projects. If you have never knit before, but have always wanted to, this class is for you!Â
Over 2 sessions, you will learn the basics of knitting and be introduced to the world of fiber arts!

We'll go over:Â
- Yarn and Needles
- Useful tools & equipment
- How to make a slip knot
- How to Cast On (aka: starting)
- How to knit and purl
- How to bind off (aka: finishing)
- Understanding basic knitting patterns and instructions
Materials are included! You will get your own set of needles, practice yarn, instructions and a book to take home so you can keep learning.Â
Please note this class will teach knitting from a right-handed perspective.
Skill Level: Absolute Beginner
Date & Time: 2 Tuesdays - November 21 & 28, 3 - 5 PM for both sessions. Please plan to attend both sessions. Make-up sessions will not be available.
Instructor: Jillian Walther
Class Atmosphere: These classes are intentionally very small (3 - 4 participants max), so that you have a more personalized experience and can work closely with the instructor and your fellow learners. We like to cultivate a positive, casual atmosphere - be ready to learn, ready to talk, and ready to make new friends!
Registration: Due to limited class size, students must register online to reserve their spot.Â
Cancellation: If you sign up for the class and are not able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by sending an email to Hello@Waltherhandmade.com . This gives us time to notify other interested participants on the "waitlist."
Refund Policy: If you cancel 48 hours or more prior to the start of class, you are eligible to receive a full refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the start of class, you are not eligible for a full refund and forfeit all class materials/fees. Class fees cannot be transferred to a different class, event, or product.
Classes are subject to cancellation due to low registration or other unforeseen (ie "Act of God") circumstances. In these instances, registrants will be notified and fully refunded.
