Learn to Tunisian Crochet

Tunisian Crochet is a unique fiber art that combines aspects of knitting and crochet to create a highly textured fabric that can be used for a wide variety of items from blankets to pillow cases to sweaters and hats! In this workshop, we'll learn the basics of Tunisian Crochet from how to start, to the basic Tunisian stitch, to how to finish a project. 

You do not need to know how to knit or crochet to take this workshop! We'll start at the very beginning and walk through every step together. If you do already know how to knit or crochet, you may find that Tunisian Crochet is a natural extension of a craft you already enjoy!

We'll learn all about:

• What is Tunisian Crochet
• Tools & Yarn
• How to make a slip knot
• How to work a chain
• How to work a foundation row
• The Tunisian Simple Stitch
• How to fasten off 
• Understanding basic Tunisian Crochet patterns and instructions

*Please note this class will teach Tunisian Crochet from a right-handed perspective.*

What's included: All materials are included in this workshop! You'll receive an instruction book that you can take home and keep learning, a Tunisian Crochet hook, and skein of yarn for your first project. 

Skill Level: Absolute Beginner

Date & Time: Saturday, February 10, 9:30 AM - 12noon. Length of class is estimated - we may end early or may go a few minutes over.

Please arrive on time. We do not offer make-ups, if you arrive late.

Cancellation / Refund: If you register for the class and then find out you can't make it, you must notify Walther Handmade at least 48 hours in advance. This gives us time to notify other interested learners that a spot has opened up. If you notify us at least 48 hours in advance, then you'll receive a full refund. If you notify us 48 hours or less before the class - or do not show up to the class -  you will not receive a full refund and forfeit all class materials.
