Join us on April 27, 2024 for Local Yarn Store Day!!! This is an international holiday to celebrate and support your local yarn store! We'll have fresh yarns arriving just in time for LYS Day, a free pattern, and a craf-tea party - so bring a project and make plans to stay and stitch awhile!

About the event
We are so excited to be taking part in the 7th Annual LYS Day on April 27, 2024! Local Yarn Store is an annual celebration of brick-and-mortar yarn stores that brings together thousands of "yarnies" from across North America and beyond to support their Local Yarn Store and the fiber arts community. Think of it as an international yarn crawl!
We are so thankful to be able to celebrate our second LYS Day as a brick-and-morter shop. To show our thankfulness, we have a whole day of special treats planned, just for our fiber friends!
Special Hours: We'll be open 9AM - 4PM on April 27!
CrafTea Party: LYS Day is a great day for a party...and don't yarn and tea just sound like the perfect combination? We'll have the kettle going, an assortment of teas, and delicious treats! Bring a project to work on and make plans to drink tea and stay and stitch awhile!
Brand New Yarn: We have 2 new lines of yarn coming in, just for LYS Day!!!
- LYS Day Paint can by Koigu Yarns - Koigu Yarns has designed a set of yarns just for LYS Day that come in an adorable (and reusable) paint can. Each paint can contains 5 mini-skeins of Koigu Premium Painter's Palette Merino Yarn (fingering weight) plus a FREE pattern!
- LYS Day Surprise Yarn! - I won't reveal what this is, but I will say it contains Cashmere, Silk, and Merino. And it's DK weight
Free Pattern by Double the Stitches: Independent designer, Jessica Ays of Double the Stitches, has created a beautiful LYS-Day pattern called the "Trust Fall Shawl." Customers who purchase the yarn necessary to make this shawl (at least 750 yards of DK weight yarn) will receive a code to download this pattern for free!
- Our LYS Day Surprise Yarn will work perfectly for this! We also have several other DK weight yarns currently in stock!
