About the event

Crochet is a fun and creative craft that benefits all ages! Crochet can help improve motor skills, reading and comprehension, math, problem-solving, and can also help reduce anxiety! No matter you're age, it's a great time to start crocheting!

Join us on July 26 for a "quick" crochet class where we'll learn the very basics of crochet through this adorable Woobles kit. Over 250,000 people have learned how to crochet with the Woobles. Their kits include everything you need to get started and video tutorials, so you can keep learning at home. The Woobles are an Amigurumi style-type crochet, so you will learn a basic crochet stitch and how crochet in the round. You'll be able to take the skills you learn in this class to make more Woobly friends or start on other crochet projects!

Class fee includes 1 Pierre the Penguin Woobles Kit; all materials are included!

This class is geared for ages 12+. It is a perfect opportunity for you (a parent or guardian) to learn this timeless craft right alongside your (grand)son, (grand)daughter, niece, or nephew!

Please note this class will teach crochet from a right-handed perspective.

Skill Level: Very Beginner

Date & Time: July 26, 1 - 3 PM

Instructor: Jillian Walther

Class Size: Class are intentionally very small (4 participants + 1 adult each),  so that each student can have a more personalized experience and can work closely with the instructor and your fellow learners.

Class Atmosphere: We strive for a positive and comfortable class atmosphere. This is not a drop-off, baby-sitting opportunity. Parents/Guardians are expected to attend with their children and help with any unruly behavior (if needed). If students are disruptive and/or disrespectful, they may be asked to leave. In this case, refunds will not be given.

Registration: Due to limited class size, students must register online to reserve their spot. Parents only need to buy 1 ticket per child (ie, parents do not need to buy a ticket for themselves as well). Registration will close 24 hours before the first session, to give the shop/instructor time to gather and review materials.

Age: This class is open to younger learners (ages 12+); however, adults are welcome to learn too! Please note that any students younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian.

Safety: Needlecrafts use sharp tools, such as scissors, crochet hooks, and sewing needles - sometimes even the most careful crafters can hurt themselves. By registering for this class, you take full responsibility for your child and yourself and any injuries that occur. Walther Handmade, LLC is not responsible for any injuries that occur before, during, or after this class.

Cancellation & Refund: Participants will only receive a full refund if they give at least a 48 hour (2 day) cancellation notice before the first session. This gives us time to notify others who may be interested in taking this class.

Participants who do not give a 48 hour notice will not receive a full refund and forfeit all class materials. Participants cannot put class fee towards a future class or other product.

Classes are subject to cancellation due to low registration or other unforeseen (ie "Act of God") circumstances. In these instances, registrants will be notified and fully refunded.
