About the event
Join us on September 2, 9, and 16 from 1 - 3 PM each day as we knit the "Touring Tennessee" shawl designed by Leedra Scott. This shawl is a new pattern, designed specifically for the 2023 Great Tennessee Yarn Tour. Tourists who participated received a copy of this pattern with their tote bag; however, the knit-a-long is open to anyone who wants to participate!
This is a knit-a-long, not a standard "how to" knit class. Participants should be comfortable with the basics of knitting: how to cast on, how to knit, how to purl, and how to bind off. Each week, the instructor will walk the class through different parts of the pattern and go over questions, and participants can continue to work on the shawl at their own pace at home.
Date & Time: Saturdays, September 2, 9, & 16. 1 - 3 PM each day. We'll be knitting a different part of the shawl each session, so make plans to attend all 3!
Cost: The Knit-A-Long is free, but space is limited! Register to save your spot!
Instructor: Susan Holton
Skill Level: Beginner-Intermediate (not a "Learn to Knit" class)
